National Cancer Survivors Day® is a CELEBRATION for those who have survived, an INSPIRATION for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of SUPPORT for families, and an OUTREACH to the community.

A Message from the NCSD Foundation: COVID-19 and National Cancer Survivors Day

We’re Here to Help You Honor Cancer Survivors for National Cancer Survivors Day® 2020

The NCSD Foundation is committed to supporting our NCSD event coordinators as you plan to honor the cancer survivors in your community for NCSD 2020, however you choose to commemorate the day.

Along with you, the NCSD Foundation is closely watching the impact COVID-19 is having on our local communities. The situation we are experiencing right now is unprecedented and unpredictable. We know how difficult it is to plan an event among all the uncertainties, especially an event for cancer survivors.

Optimistically, we hope that life will have mostly returned to normal by National Cancer Survivors Day® on June 7. Realistically, we recognize that this may not be the case for everyone. We are committed to supporting you as you plan to honor the cancer survivors in your community for National Cancer Survivors Day®2020, however (and whenever) you choose to commemorate the day.

The NCSD Foundation still plans to commemorate National Cancer Survivors Day® on Sunday, June 7, with an online awareness campaign. We are working on social media graphics and other web sharing resources for NCSD event coordinators to use online. These will be made available to you at a later date.

National Cancer Survivors Day® is more than just a party.

Sunday, June 7, 2020, will mark the 33rd annual National Cancer Survivors Day®.

National Cancer Survivors Day® is more than just a party. It’s the one day each year when communities across the globe recognize the cancer survivors in their community, raise awareness of the ongoing challenges cancer survivors face because of their disease, and – most importantly –celebrate life. It’s also a call to action for further research, more resources, and increased public awareness to improve the lives of cancer survivors.

COVID-19 Resources for Cancer Survivors

As everyone is aware, the entire globe is facing a pandemic. Information on COVID-19 is coming in and changing rapidly. To assist you, NCSD national supporter Coping with Cancer magazine has put together a list of resources specifically for cancer survivors and caregivers.

Coronavirus and Cancer: A list of resources for cancer survivors.

We’re here for you.
